Week 5; Inside Your Head

Week 5; Inside Your Head

Inside each person’s head, there are different ideas, different ways, and different thoughts.  People have the right to have their own opinions.  In my head, I have many different tasks going on, but below are the main things that I think about.

-          Jesus- There’s not a moment that I don’t think about Jesus and my Christianity.  Jesus has such a large impact in my life.  I attend church every Sunday.  Without Jesus, I would not be here today.

-          Equal Sign- The equal sign in my head is for equality.  I believe in equality because I think everybody should have the right to their beliefs and who they want to be.  People should be not be held back from what makes them happy.  Everyone should be happy and do what makes them happy.

-          Summer- Here lately, since the school year is drawing to an end, I think about summer a lot.  I think about what I will do in the summer and who I will do it with.  I can’t wait to get my license in the summer and I’m just extremely excited.

-          Love- I often wonder about if I have often wondered about whom I will marry or who I will be with in life.  Not only do I relate love to relationships, but I also love my family and friends.  They have helped me to become the person that I am today.

-          Outgoing- I have a very outgoing personality, so I constantly think about sports, dance, people, and materials of this sort.

Week 4, 5th six weeks

If all knowledge upon Earth were to be destroyed, and only one sentence was able to be left behind to the next generation, that would be that in God’s eyes; everyone is equal meaning that love does not have a color, and to always go after what makes you happy. This valuable statement is so simple yet so in depth all at once.

Earth is filled with numerous different ethnic diversities. Each and everyone specifically handcrafted by God to be exactly the way they are. Society itself has formed its opinions of the way these different ethnic diversities are viewed. God views us all the same, we are all his children. When choosing who you grow affection for, or who you fall in love with, do not look upon them and deny them due to their skin color, for God does not. Ultimately, God rules over everyone and if God does not judge us by the color of our skin, then why she would judge others based on theirs? All generations should be made aware that true love has no color.

Happiness is one of the greatest joys to be able to experience in life. It takes good times and countless life experiences and allows you to further enjoy them. Often times in life people will not accept what makes you happy and they will try to stop you from obtaining that which makes you happy. Never let anyone take away your happiness. Fight for what makes you happy. Your happiness is one of the few things that you will always be able to acquire without the help of others, and without material things. Strive to surround yourself with happiness and to always go after what brings happiness upon you.

Teens Facing Problems; 5th Six Weeks, Blog 3

Blog Post 3; Main Problem Teens Face

In this day and time, I believe the largest problems that teens face is searching for their identity.  Everybody wants to be accepted and recognized for who they are; especially teens.  Teens change their lifestyle around completely just to be accepted by society and the people around them.  While adjusting to their new way of life, they change their looks, emotions, and who they really are.  In doing this, teens often struggle to find their selves and who they really are.  While trying to be accepted by society, they are also struggling to find their identity.

The definition of identity is the fact of being who or what a person is.  Characteristics of who you are make up your identity.

Researchers say not only do teens try to change their selves for society, but that it is also a hormonal change.  These changes react rapidly which causes the teenager to act differently and more quickly.  Teens are confronted with multiple issues which causes them to question their actions and most importantly who they are.

Reporter, Seth Mullins, states “the opinions of their friends and acquaintances become very important at this age even as kids are rejecting their parents’ overtures. Here is another area where their sense of identity can become clouded, because they start comparing themselves to everyone else.”  In this statement, Mullins informs readers that teens lose their selves while being persuaded by friends to do one thing while parents say for them to do another.  They get surrounded by different opinions, which can cause stress on the teenager.

Finding strategies to help out with the finding of a teen’s identity is not easy.  Because teens have different ways of living, many strategies could be performed.  I believe teenagers can solve this problem by surrounding their selves with people that have many of the same interests as them.  Although finding your identity is not easy, teens could find their selves fast and better when they surround their selves with what they like.

Everybody, including teens, face trying to find their identity.

Blog Post; What makes you come alive?

Blog Post 5; what makes you come alive?

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” I personally love this quote because it gives a sense of joy.  The world does not need us to suffer.  Nobody should think they don’t have a purpose.  Everybody should find out who they are and what they enjoy to do, and go do it.  The smallest things can make the biggest differences.  By one person awakening their dreams, they can inspire other people to do the same as they have done.

What makes me come alive is something that I know yet it is hard to explain.  Helping people is what helps me come alive.  It helps me to know who I am, who I want to be, and how I want people to be treated.  I love to help everyone, but especially with special needs or autistic people.  I like this because they are so fun.  Their stories are fun to listen to and very entertaining.  They have such a big heart.  They can take you from laughing your butts off, to crying your eyes out.

Helping people may not seem like a big difference, but in my eyes, it is a huge difference.  Everybody is unique in their own ways.  I love helping people for my own good instead of being forced to help someone.  Although it is a small way of coming alive, it is my way of coming alive.  I hope to inspire people by doing this and making it a universal difference.

Bost Post 4, Average 5 People

Blog Post 4; Average 5 people

I personally believe that what Jim Rohn said about “You’re the average of the five people you spend time with”, is true.  I believe this because what you surround yourself with is who you are going to turn out to be like.  The way people talk, the way people act, the way people dress, and most importantly the way people are.  If you are to be around them all the time, they start to wear off on you and you start to change.

The five people I spend the most time with are my mom, my dad, my brother, Havan Harris, and Cierra Matherly.  From hanging out with these people, I have accepted their personalities and honestly feel like I have become a better person.  They all encourage me to stay in the right direction with my life and to make the right choices.  I feel as if they are by my side, it is easier to make a decision.  Since the acceptance of their personalities, I see where we have all become similar with each other and it comes to show that we have all worn off on each other and started to become closer.

It honestly does not bother me that the people that I hang out with and I are become similar.  We each have our own personalities, but being that we are all so close, we have shared our likes and dislikes with each other.  I love being around the people I hang out with and I do believe that I am the average of them.

Blog Post; Society

Blog Post 3; Society, Why can’t you solve your own problems?

While many people have pin-point problems that society faces, I believe societies biggest problem is society itself.  Nothing ever goes right in society.  Society persuades you to wear nice clothing, buy nice things, have nice cars, and just to be materialistic.  Instead of worrying about how we are on the inside, we are worried about our outside attraction and how people judge us.  Society, itself, is a huge problem.

If we did not care so much about what people said about us or thought about us, life would be a lot easier.  Society finds a way to get in our life and change us to what it wants us to be.  If we kept to our own selves, we would not be worried about how people looked at us, much less society.  Whether you realize it or not, we are all pulled into society.  Most of us do things to make us look good or just because everyone else is doing it.

For example, you see someone poor on the side of the road.  You are by yourself and you can’t seem to take your eyes off them.  You feel bad and honestly have that guilty feeling in your tummy.  You decide to give them a few dollars.  A few days later, you and your buddy are riding down the road and you see that same person.  He starts to laugh.  You don’t want your friend to make fun of you, so you start laughing with him and drive right by that same person that you had just felt bad for a few days before.  This example goes to show that we do things unintentionally or just to be accepted by others.

Don’t make the same mistakes other people are making.  Be an advocate and be yourself.

Blog 5 - Fears

Blog Post 2- Fears

My largest fear is spiders.  I have never liked spiders because they are nasty, hairy, creepy crawlers.  Seeing them gives me chills and makes me want to cry and scream.  Spiders not only look disgusting but they could also harm you depending on if they bite you or not.  On the average, two people per year die because of a spider bite.  Although it is a small amount of deaths, others still struggle with the bites by taking in a disease or other harmful effects on the person.

It is honestly scary to think that such small creatures could hurt you in such a large manner.  Spiders can range from huge to itty bitty.  Even though this is a factor, I don’t like them big or little.  Spiders also can range from dangerous to not dangerous.  Many spiders around here are not dangerous though, which is a good thing.

Spider bites are very rare.  Depending on what kind of spider bite, you may become very ill or sick.  There are many precautions to these bites.  There are prescriptions to follow through with if the bite is more severe than normal.  If it is a small bite, you can take a nonprescription medicine.  You may also want to try rubbing some crème or spraying certain spray on there to help relieve the bite and treat it.  You may also want to try putting a cold rag on it before this.

Spiders are scary in my opinion.  They are not my favorite creature at all.  I try to stay away from them as much as I can.
